Osnovni cilj formulisanja i primene mera nuklearne sigurnosti i bezbednosti jeste zaštita ljudi i životne sredine od štetnog dejstva jonizujućeg zračenja.
The main objective of nuclear safety and security law formulation and implementation is the protection of people and environment from harmful effects of ionizing radiation. A system of environmental permits should be established to provide conditions for efficient and effective implementation of nuclear safety law. The paper points out the environmental permitting system in Serbia and a comparative review of the solutions in French and German Environmental law. The IAEA Convention on Nuclear Safety contains the world’s first binding international standards on the siting, design, construction and operation of land-based nuclear power plants. The Convention also includes an international review system to supervise the implementation of these provision. The paper analyze the possibility of its implementation in the Serbian legal system, particularly from the point of the Draft Law on Ionizing Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety.sr
